Scott Mumford
Vice President of Operations
As MEDHOST Vice President of Operations, Scott Mumford is responsible for all aspects of Customer operations including product implementation and support. Mumford’s focus is to provide a world class Customer support model to drive excellence in delivery and support to enhance the Customer experience. Customer satisfaction and relationship is key to the Operations organization.
Mumford’s experience further strengthens the extensive consulting, support, and training services offered to MEDHOST Customers before, during, and after implementation. He plays a key role in assisting with MEDHOST’s efforts to continually advance its product suite by gathering input from Customers so MEDHOST can best meet their evolving needs.
Mumford is an information technology professional with more than 25 years of progressive industry experience. Mumford has a strong leadership and management background with experience managing organizations with regional, national, and international resources to develop, manage, and support distributed business applications. He has extensive healthcare experience having served in various capacities at provider and payer organizations.
Prior to joining MEDHOST, Mumford was a Director and Vertical Services Leader in the Healthcare Advanced Service Group at Cognizant Technologies. In this capacity, he led initiatives to ensure delivery excellence and process improvement by utilizing a local and international delivery model. Prior to working at Cognizant, Mumford spent 10 years at Keane Inc. of Boston, Mass., where in various capacities he provided leadership to increase the delivery capabilities of the organization. Mumford was Delivery Manager for a 90-consultant application outsourcing engagement at a not-for-profit healthcare payer organization. Utilizing an international model he implemented processes to enable the engagement to be certified at Level 3 on the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model. He developed and implemented the IT strategy to move the organization to a higher level of service. Mumford’s experience also includes leadership and delivery roles at Cargill, ACS Inc., and Great Salt Lake Minerals.
Mumford holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in management from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
