Meaningful Use Guidelines includes Emergency Department

MEDHOST was pleased to learn that after receiving an overwhelming number of comments, the CMS expanded their initial CPOE requirements to include the ED. This means that MEDHOST Customers leveraging the Order Entry module are in many cases already meeting this first-stage requirement just by ordering medications! As we’ve always known, the ED is the front door to healthcare, and we applaud CMS for recognizing this and incorporating the ED into the hospital Meaningful Use requirements.

OpCenter’s Successful Debut at HIMSS

MEDHOST is excited to report that this year’s HIMSS Conference in Atlanta was a huge success. We formally launched OpCenter, our executive decision-support tool, and it was amazing to see how captivated people were by OpCenter’s graphical interface and analytical features.
