MUSE International 2010
MEDHOST is looking forward to seeing our MEDITECH Customers at the upcoming MUSE International Conference, June 1-4, at the Gaylord Texan Hotel & Convention Center in Dallas. Conference attendees can stop by our booth (#625) to learn about our newest MEDHOST offerings and our advances in integration with MEDITECH.
At MEDHOST, we understand that integration is a must-have for the best delivery of care because without it, hospitals are more prone to patient throughput delays, medication errors and clinical workflow disruptions. We remain dedicated to harnessing the power of integration, so our Customers can continue reaping its benefits, such as patient safety and workflow enhancements.
Ed Ricks, MEDHOST Customer and CIO at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, in Beaufort, S.C., will give a presentation about his experiences with MEDHOST on Wednesday, June 2, at 2:30 p.m. in room Texas 4. Mr. Ricks will discuss integrating MEDHOST with MEDITECH, as well as share the financial improvements MEDHOST has delivered and its role in helping the hospital fund its migration to MEDITECH 6.0. Titled, “From Here to Eternity – Achieving the Seemingly Impossible Move to 6.0,” Ricks’ presentation will outline how Beaufort achieved ROI within three months of deploying MEDHOST.
It is not unusual for our Customers to experience financial successes similar to those at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. In fact, many of our MEDHOST EDIS Customers experience strong financial results because our easy-to-use and intuitive system drives user compliance and more complete documentation. MEDHOST’s automatic, behind-the-scenes Charge Capture calculates charges as care is documented, so hospitals can more accurately assign E&M levels and make sure that they reflect the care provided.
For the first time at MUSE, we’ll be demonstrating our new decision-support system, called OpCenter, and showing how it integrates with MEDITECH and other systems to provide hospital leaders actionable information, such as availability of inpatient beds, saturation of resources and patient acuity. Hospital executives can leverage OpCenter’s real-time information to strategically align resources and maximize house-wide efficiencies.
On Thursday, June 3, Patricia Daiker, MEDHOST’s vice president of marketing, will lead a Product Education Session about OpCenter at 2:30 p.m. in room San Antonio 3. Titled, “Making the Invisible – Visible: How MEDHOST OpCenter uses your existing data to optimize patient flow,” the presentation will highlight the many ways to improve throughput with OpCenter, including how to utilize data from MEDITECH and other systems to demonstrate Key Performance Indicators in real time.
If you are planning to attend MUSE International, we look forward to seeing you and hope you stop by the MEDHOST booth (#625).
