National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) 201701 Update

• Release Version: Enterprise 2019 R1 SR1, EDIS 2019 R1 SR1
• Impact: Surescripts will no longer translate legacy (non-API format) electronic prescription messages, at which point, messages in the legacy format will be rejected.​​​​​​

On September 1, 2021, Surescripts will no longer support the APIs used by MEDHOST releases prior to 2019 R1 SR1. This change will affect all customers utilizing the MEDHOST ePrescribe functionality. All Enterprise and EDIS customers using MEDHOST ePrescribe must be on release 2019 R1 SR1 or 2021 R1 prior to September 1, 2021 to ensure continued use of the MEDHOST ePrescribe functionality. If you are not on 2019 R1 SR1 or above and plan on using ePrescribe functionality, please reach out to MEDHOST Customer Support to schedule your release upgrade.
