Bill Anderson, Chairman and CEO
Bill Anderson has been the CEO at MEDHOST since August 2012 and chairman since June 2008. Previously, he was a consultant to the company from June 2009 to August 2012.
Bill has over 30 years of experience in the technology and financial industries serving as CEO of several companies including Universal Tax Systems, Inc. (UTS), Bankrate, Inc. and Block Financial Corporation. Before joining MEDHOST, he served as CEO at UTS, publisher of the TaxWise – a suite of professional income tax preparation software. He has originated a number of innovative technology applications and holds a patent on delivering online financial services using distributed objects.
He received a Master of Business Administration from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Auburn University. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Nashville Technology Council.
Daniel Hart, President, YourCareUniverse
Daniel Hart joined MEDHOST in 2009 and is responsible for managing the company’s YourCareUniverse business, which includes the consumer health and wellness solution, YourCareEverywhere. Prior to his current role, Daniel was responsible for corporate development and related project management at MEDHOST, including strategic partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions. Daniel has more than 20 years of experience working in various strategy, consulting, and sales and marketing roles. Before joining MEDHOST, he served eight years at Dell, Inc., in a variety of management functions, and has also held positions at the consulting firm Spectrem Group.
Ken Misch, Chief Financial Officer
Ken Misch joined MEDHOST in 2013 and is responsible for financial oversight. He is also in charge of continuous cutting-edge innovation and optimization for MEDHOST’s Information Technology hosted, managed and cloud-based solutions. During his 25 years in executive and leadership positions with various healthcare and technology companies, Ken’s experience spans mergers and acquisitions, public and private equity financing including IPOs, complex debt and tax structures, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, investors and financial analysts. Before joining MEDHOST, Ken served as CFO at DynaVox and has held other CFO and financial positions with companies including invivodata, Inc., Expedient Communications, Printcafe Software, STERIS Corporation and Price Waterhouse. Ken is a Certified Public Accountant and received a Master of Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
Todd Redmon, Chief Operations Officer
Todd Redmon joined MEDHOST in 2010. Todd is responsible for the company’s implementation, account management, sales, and marketing operations in leading strategic initiatives to enhance customer experiences and process efficiency. Previously, he has held a series of leadership positions in operations, manufacturing and support over a period of 10 years with Dell. His experience also includes managing a 500-employee call center serving global commercial services with technical support and solutions for multiple hardware, software and network customer needs.
Steve Starkey, Executive Vice President of Product
Steve Starkey was one of the founding programmers of the MEDHOST enterprise system. In 1998, Steve left the company and would play integral roles at several healthcare companies before rejoining MEDHOST in 2005 as the vice president of research and development. In his current role, Steve oversees and manages all daily development operations, including product management, program management and quality analysis. During his time away from MEDHOST, Steve served as director of information systems at Community Health Systems, CIO at Behavioral Healthcare Corporation and CIO at Ardent Health.
Kenneth Barfield, Executive Vice President, General Counsel
Kenneth joined MEDHOST in 2010 as General Counsel and is responsible for oversight of all legal matters. He previously served as General Counsel of Universal Tax Systems/Taxwise (UTS), a publisher of tax preparation and electronic filing software and provider of electronic filing services, from 1993 to 2006. During that period, he also served in roles as chief financial officer and executive vice president of the company. After UTS was acquired by Wolters Kluwer in 2006, Kenneth served as the vice president of Legal of CCH Small Firm Services and Assistant General Counsel for Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting until 2010. He began his professional career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen & company in Atlanta. He later practiced as an attorney, concentrating in corporate and tax matters at the Atlanta firm Kilpatrick & Cody (now Kilpatrick Townsend), and Hine, Carroll and Niedrach, Rome, Georgia. Kenneth received the Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and the Doctor of Law degree with honors from Georgia State University. He has earned a license as a certified public accountant, is admitted to the State Bar of Georgia and Tennessee and is a member of the American Bar Association.
