Tommy Lewis, Chief Transformation Officer & Chief of Staff to the CEO at Tivity Health, and past president of the TN Chapter of HIMSS stopped by the MEDHOST podcast lounge to thank the leadership team, board members, ambassadors, sponsors and membership after winning HIMSS Chapter Leader of the Year. He also shared his reasons for attending conferences like HIMSS19 every year.

Michael Archuleta, CIO of Mt. San Rafael Hospital, sat down with us in the MEDHOST podcast lounge at HIMSS19 to discuss how companies should focus their business and technology initiatives to work together in order to best utilize patient data while also protecting that data from cybersecurity threats. He also shared why the medical device industry face some of the highest levels of security breaches.

President and Founder of Catalyst HTI, Mike Biselli dropped into the MEDHOST podcast lounge at HIMSS19 and revealed the secret sauce to his company’s success in Colorado. He also rallied for the reimagination of healthcare through silo-busting collaboration and future partnerships.

Executive Vice President of HIMSS Analytics, Blain Newton, joined us in the MEDHOST podcast lounge at HIMSS19 to share what he believes is the trend in healthcare IT, the momentum around digital health transformation. He says the new focus is redirecting pathways and processes all with the consumer, the patient, at the center of the care continuum.

PerceptionHealth CEO Tod Fetherling stopped by the MEDHOST podcast lounge at HIMSS19 to share one of his reasons for attending the conference – the ability to connect with strategic partners to help leverage their area of the marketplace: machine learning, AI and data liquidity. He also discussed the need for providers and payers to get on board with data interoperability.

CEO of PatientKeeper Paul Brient joined us in the MEDHOST podcast lounge at HIMSS19 to discuss a surprising side-effect of recent innovations in healthcare technology – physician satisfaction. He shares that more and more doctors are complaining about frustration and burnout from automated systems that get in the way of practicing and caring for patients.
