In the coming years, technological evolution and regulatory requirements will redefine the healthcare industry, putting increased demands on providers and opening the door for modern technologies and advanced care modalities.
In response, MEDHOST has launched our most ambitious customer support initiative yet—MEDHOST Elevate—to help prepare and sustain our partner hospitals for rapidly changing technology and regulatory compliance for programs like HTI-1, while empowering them with elevated user experiences.
The ONC published “Health Data, Technology, and Interoperability: Certification Program Updates, Algorithm Transparency, and Information Sharing” (HTI-1) on April 11, 2023, with the aim of updating implementations related to the 21st Century Cures Act, expanding interoperability, and promoting health equity. The final rule was released in December of 2023 and was posted to the Federal Register on January 9, 2024.
Just like other iterative regulatory requirements that our participating customers must adhere to, compliance with HTI-1 is mandatory. The effective deadline for having solutions in place to support this is June 30th, 2025.
To address these rapid changes, we have launched MEDHOST Elevate. This strategic project focuses exclusively on the services and solutions necessary for our customers to stay on top of technology modernization and regulatory requirements like HTI-1 and similar programs to come successfully.
For customers participating in this program, we offer comprehensive guidance and expert support, assisting them every step of the way—from their current state to compliance.
Over the next year and a half, our customers will progress through various evolutions. Although changing over time, this journey currently involves adapting to several new MEDHOST product releases, version updates, and user experiences, including:
