MEDHOST Chairman and CEO Elected to Nashville Technology Council Board

Bill Anderson brings more than 30 years of technology and financial industry experience to NTC

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – July 26, 2016 - MEDHOST is proud to announce that Chairman and CEO Bill Anderson has been elected as one of five new board members for the Nashville Technology Council (NTC). Anderson has served as the CEO at MEDHOST since 2012 and chairman since 2008.

The NTC works to develop, connect and promote Middle Tennessee’s technology community. The board consists of 40 members who are elected to serve three-year terms.

“The NTC continues to bring together those who are growing and significantly influencing the Middle Tennessee’s technology industry,” Bryan Huddleston, NTC president and chief executive officer, said in a release.

“I am honored to be selected as a board member at NTC. The organization plays an integral role in advancing our industry and encouraging innovation in the region, “said Anderson. “By utilizing its four pillars of connection, development, unity and promotion, NTC can help Middle Tennessee foster growth in talent and opportunities, and I feel privileged to be part of that process.”

Anderson brings more than 30 years of experience in the technology and financial sectors, serving as CEO of several companies, including Universal Tax Systems, Inc. (UTS), Bankrate, Inc. and Block Financial Corporation. Before joining MEDHOST, he served as CEO at UTS, publisher of TaxWise – a suite of professional income tax preparation solutions. He successfully launched several innovative technology applications and holds a patent on delivering online financial services using distributed objects.

Anderson earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and completed his MBA at Emory University.
