FRANKLIN, Tenn., October 12, 2021 – Cigna has selected MEDHOST as a recipient of their annual Cigna Well-Being Award. This award recognizes organizations that demonstrate a solid commitment to improving the health and well-being of their associates through their workplace wellness programs.
The MEDHOST Health and Wellness program is just one element of a comprehensive organization-wide wellness strategy. This program plays a vital role in MEDHOST’s efforts to support its critical vision of a workplace culture that emphasizes physical, emotional, intellectual, social, environmental, and occupational wellness.
MEDHOST adheres to a monthly activities calendar that ensures wellness programs are executed and tracked effectively as part of their strategy. This strategy also incorporates various tools and campaigns developed by other MEDHOST wellness partners, including Cigna.
Through this endeavor, MEDHOST successfully developed a hybrid remote/in-office policy during the COVID-19 outbreak that prioritized Associates’ safety. Other programs implemented to support the move to a virtual office during the COVID-19 lockdown period included the introduction of LinkedIn Learning. The LinkedIn platform offered Associates a safe, virtual space to partake in ongoing training opportunities. MEDHOST also partnered with Cigna during the push for vaccinations, building awareness on vaccination sites and providing several on-site vaccination opportunities to Associates.

Cigna Well-Being Award applicants are evaluated based on the core components of their well-being program, including leadership engagement, company culture, strategy and goals, implementation, and employee engagement. All applications are scored and reviewed by a panel of Cigna health promotion experts.
