Physicians praise the solutions’ ease of use and expect rapid adoption, which aligns with the hospital’s Meaningful Use attestation objectives
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – May 28, 2014 – MEDHOST, Inc., a provider of market-leading enterprise, departmental and healthcare engagement solutions, today announced that 151-bed San Jorge Children’s Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico, selected MEDHOST’s fully integrated Enterprise Clinical and Financial solutions. San Jorge Children’s Hospital plans to go live with all of the system’s applications, including the Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) and new Physician Documentation application, later this year. It will then begin efforts to attest for Meaningful Use. Also, it will engage MEDHOST Professional Consulting to assist with the process.

It is designed as a “protected environment” and offers comfort for family members to stay with the patient. In addition, 16-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit has been designed and equipped with advanced technology to extend its specialized services.
