MEDHOST’s fully integrated EHR optimizes Nurses’ workflows, ensuring that the time spent with each patient is meaningful. MEDHOST’s clinical solutions allow nurses to work within an interdisciplinary care team to:

Assess Patients

MEDHOST’s Patient Care allows Nurses to easily access a patient’s history (transcribed documents, x-rays, and previous records or documents), document vital signs, create care plans, and document the patient’s condition using scales and scores.

Documentation tools are customizable to the facility’s needs based on department or patient population, while system triggers can be configured for specific care plans or referrals for treatment based on Nurse assessments.

Plan and Perform Patient Care

MEDHOST’s Patient Care helps Nurses create customized care plans and streamline patient care. Care plans can be individualized based on patient needs and interdisciplinary care team input.

Scheduled tasks and treatments are entered into a worklist for the Nurse to work against, helping each Nurse organize their day and the care of their patients.

Patient Education

Nurses can quickly document all education that’s been done with the patient, the patient’s understanding, and any follow up needed. Documentation of education is completed in Patient Care and can be made available to all members of an interdisciplinary care team.

Additional discharge education materials can be made available in Patient Care through a partner integration that provides comprehensive patient education from initial treatment to discharge.

Medication Administration

MEDHOST Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) provides a medication process that drives patient safety, efficiency, and charge accuracy. Our solution has integrated features providing a closed loop medication administration process through bar code scanning, and facilitates the correct identification of the right patient, drug, dose, route, and time in accordance to The Five Rights of Medication Administration.

Our clinical solutions have been created to meet the regulatory requirements for the documentation of medication administration and accommodate the workflows of Nurses including:

  • Consent for Administration
  • First Dose Education
  • Follow-up Assessments
